Connor grew up just outside of Boston and started playing saxophone at the ripe old age of 10. The Massachusetts Association for Jazz Education Central District Festival awarded him the Most Valuable Player four years in a row and he was also recognized at the All-State MAJE Festival for Outstanding Musicianship. At the age of fifteen, he was featured on Walter Beasley’s "Live in The Club" CD and DVD. More recently he taught a Master Class with Gordon Goodwin and was a featured guest in Gordon’s Big Phat Band in Los Angeles. Connor plays with the local Boston wedding band Hot Mess. These days Connor integrates a range of genres from pop, rock, soul and jazz while maintaining respect for tradition.
